Having made its mark creating bespoke fabrics for the fashion and interiors industries, The Bristol Weaving Mill is stepping out from the shadows to launch its own range of blankets. The Made in Bristol collection features expertly woven designs that use contemporary patterns to bring inspired colour combinations to life.

When Juliet Bailey and Franki Brewer, owners of The Bristol Weaving Mill, took a step back and looked at the leftover yarn their business had accumulated through the years, the idea of Made in Bristol was born. The pair decided to put these end-of-line Italian linens and Welsh wools to good use and produce their own luxurious blankets. By the very nature of their production, these will be limited-edition pieces – when the dead-stock yarn is gone, it’s gone.

The team of expert hand weavers and imaginative textile designers at The Bristol Weaving Mill drew inspiration from the rainbow of hues at their disposal to come up with a blanket design that proudly celebrates colour. The pattern is distinctive and modern, thoughtfully created to exploit a complementary palette of shades that transition seamlessly from one to the next.
