This contemporary basket is handwoven by Rachel Bower in Dicky Meadows willow. The handle is made from locally grown, coppiced willow.
Dicky Meadows willow is traditionally grown for fine basket making and it’s favoured by Rachel for being a strong, yet fine and slender variety. This willow variety typically has a soft green-brown tone, and in this design, it’s complimented by sun-dried, pink-toned willow for added detail.
The unique, tapered shape and stepped sides make this basket as practical as it is beautiful. Each basket measures approximately 20 cm diameter across the base and is 28 cm tall.
Due to natural variations in the materials and the handcrafted processes, the colours and details of each basket may differ slightly. Every handmade piece is celebrated for its’ uniqueness.
