This contemporary basket is handwoven by Rachel Bower in Dicky Meadows willow. The handle is made from locally grown, stripped hazel wood which adds a beautiful contrast to the natural tone of the willow.
Dicky Meadows willow is traditionally grown for fine basket making and it’s favoured by Rachel for being a strong, yet fine and slender variety. It has a soft green tone which Rachel contrasts with white willow lines to decorate the weave.
The unique, tapered shape and stepped sides make this basket as practical as it is beautiful. Each basket measures approximately 28 cm diameter and 36 cm tall.
Due to natural variations in the materials and the handcrafted processes, the colours and details of each basket may differ slightly. Every handmade piece is celebrated for its’ uniqueness.
