Everything’s produced in the factory at Kinna in southwest Sweden, so the design and production teams work in close collaboration, assessing the characteristics and technical capabilities of the materials they use. This deep understanding of yarns means they can be worked to maximise their appearance, texture and performance. New Zealand wool and French flax are Kasthall’s fibres of choice. The wool is naturally very white so it takes dye easily and doesn’t need bleaching. The glossy flax maintains its lustre when coloured and woven.
